Juniper Wren Slagle, 22 month old daughter of Andy and Kristen Slagle, was born September 3, 2021 and passed on August 1, 2023.
We are devastated to share that Juniper left us to be in Heaven with Jesus. That is our only comfort right now. That and the support of our friends and family whom we love deeply. Thank you to everyone who prayed for her across the world. We felt it all and it gave us the strength to keep fighting the 5 days she was cared for in the hospital.
Throughout Juniper’s short life, she had various minor seizures and we hoped and prayed that she would grow out of them. It’s most likely that she had Dravet Syndrome, which made her last seizures resistant to medical treatment. We know the nurses and doctors who cared for her did everything they could and we can’t begin to express how thankful we are for them.
Every day with Juniper was a gift from God and we have known that from the beginning. We have cherished every single day we were given with her. She brought us so much joy and light. We cannot fathom our lives without her. Macie has been an amazing big sister from day one and she is heartbroken without her sweet baby Junie.
Our beautiful and perfect daughter, Juniper Wren Slagle, you will forever be in our hearts and we will look forward to and celebrate the day when we see you again in Heaven.
Juniper was the little sister to Macie Slagle; granddaughter to Greg and Margi Leonard and Bob and Maciel Slagle; great granddaughter to Anthony Leonard and Fred Slagle; niece to Anna and Zach Landy and Josh and Sara Leonard and cousin to Emerson Landy and Lex Leonard. Juniper was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Madeline Leonard, Ruth Slagle, Reginald and Sara Slayton and Jack and Jo Ann Moore.
