Watkinsville - Julius Paul Poti, 78, died November 16, 2006.
Born March 18, 1928, he was a son of the late Ethel Bone Poti. Mr. Poti was a longtime resident of Cape Coral, FL and retired in 1985 after 30 years of employment with Union Carbide Corp. He was a veteran of World War II, with service in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army. Mr. Poti was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion and Independent Orders of Foresters and a hospital volunteer for several years.
Mr. Poti is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Poti of Watkinsville, GA; two sons, David Poti of Tampa, FL and Cary Poti of Cape Coral, FL; three daughters, Karen Fisher and husband, Dr. Edward Fisher of Bogart, GA, Katherine Farley and husband, Neil Farley, Cynthia Ortega and husband, Michael Ortega of Kalamazoo, MI; brother-in-law, Michael Prokop and wife, Joyce of Downey, CA; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
A family funeral service will be held Monday, November 20, 2006, at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
