Arnoldsville - Julius Clifton "Bo" Lowe, 55, died May 9, 2009, after an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, he graduated from Oglethorpe County High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Lowe was a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, Garnett Alfred Lowe and sister, Carolyn Vaughan McFalls.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard McFall officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Laurlei Lowe; mother, Lois Y. Lowe of Arnoldsville; daughter, Christy Lowe (Brian) Dowling of Manhattan, Kansas; two stepchildren, Jeni (Chris) Bigelow of Eugene, Oregon, Raymond (Carla) Kolessar of Creswell, Oregon; sisters, Garnetta (Wayne) Turner and Kay (Sherrill) Abney, all of Arnoldsville; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family may be reached at the residence of 1231 Hutchins Wolfskin Road, Arnoldsville, and will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2040 Belmont Road, Arnoldsville, GA 30619.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
