Athens - Julia Farr DeRose Holtzworth, 83, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late Judd Bernard and Lillian Gaynell Seagraves Farr. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael DeRose and her second husband, Richard Holtzworth. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Catholic Church, real estate entrepreneur and had attended the University of Georgia.
Survivors include her son: Richard DeRose of Athens; daughters: Donna Gates of Jupiter, FL, Susan DeRose of Atlanta; brother: J.B. Farr of Greenville, SC; grandchildren: Meredith Blaine of Los Angeles, CA, Ryan Blaine of Atlanta and Taylor Gates attending school in West Brook, CT and one great granddaughter, Mia Blaine.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11AM at the chapel of Lord & Stephens, EAST. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Lord & Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
