Julia Fielding

February 15, 1937 — October 8, 2017

Julia M. Fielding died October 8, 2017 and has gone to be with her Lord.

Julia was the daughter of the late Leo and Annie Meyer of Winterville and was the widow of Ned Fielding. She was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church for forty-five years. She served as treasurer for twenty-two years and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and the UMW. She was very active in the church and especially loved her church and church family. Julia will be remembered as a good mother, sister, aunt and a good friend.

Julia worked for thirty-two years for Classic City Mechanical and was also a member of the BeaverdamVolunteer Fire Department Auxillary.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Fielding of Buford; brother, Marcus (Gail) Meyer of Athens; two nephews, Rand (Debbie) Meyer and Brian (Jen) Meyer; one niece, Kelli Waters of Statesboro; three great nieces and three great nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will follow at Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. T.B. Gibson, Libby Haley, Trent Gibson, Kenny Hodges and Forrest Neely.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winterville United Methodist Church "Love Your Neighbor Fund", PO Box 30, Winterville, GA 30683.

Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
