Judy Wright

February 8, 1951 — July 9, 2017

Judy Wright, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born on February 8, 1951 in Cochran, Georgia to the late Evelyn Fox and Wilbur Horne.

Services will be held at Cornerstone Church of Athens, 4680 Lexington Road, Athens, Georgia on Sunday, July 16. Visitation 3:00 and the Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00.

Judy was married to her best friend and husband of 47 years, Phil J Wright. They made their life together for 40 years in Warner Robins, Georgia and recently moved to Watkinsville, Georgia.

Those left to cherish her memory are: husband, Phil, daughter, Amy Morini (Mark), son, Chris Wright (Carmen), grandchildren: Kyle and Marissa Morini and Camryn and Charlie Wright. Siblings: Wilbur Horne, Jr. (Linda), Wayne Horne (Margie), Fred Horne, Kaye Wilder and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Horne.

She served the children of Houston County School System for 25 years. Judy was also a first rate Little Debbie Assistant Administrator working alongside Phil for 40 years. Judy loved life and took great pride in her family. She was a very loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
