Judy Jarrett Walker, 69, passed away on December 3, 2024.
Born on April 13, 1955, in Millen, Georgia, to Charlie and Erlene Jarrett, Judy spent her formative years in Athens. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, a testament to her lifelong connection to her beloved hometown. Judy’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother to her twins, Jamie and Jarrett.
Born in Atlanta, they were lovingly raised from the age of five in Savannah. Judy’s creative spirit was evident in her gift for flower arranging, a talent she shared for many years with Isle of Hope United Methodist Church in Savannah, where her arrangements brightened countless services and events.
As her children grew, Judy returned to Athens, where she began a new chapter of her life. She became a sales associate at burton + BURTON, where her warmth and dedication were well known. Most recently, she served as coordinator of the Mercy Medication Assistance Program for Mercy Healthcare, a role that embodied her compassion and commitment to helping others.
Judy is survived by her children, Jamie Walker and Jarrett Walker (Anne); her cherished grandchildren, Charlie and Cooper; her sister, Ann Jarrett; her brother, Bill Jarrett; and several cousins. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and service to her family, friends, and community.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Isle of Hope United Methodist Church (Attn: Flower Guild), 412 Parkersburg Road, Savannah, GA 31406.
