Born in Sausalito, CA, she was the daughter of the late Burl, Jr. and Willie Belle Fair Johnson. She lived most of her life in Madison County and was an avid animal lover.
Survivors include her brother, Burl "Sonny" Johnson, III of Crawfordville; sisters, Diane J. Perry of Colbert and Elaine Johnson-Shouf of Athens; lifetime friends, Susan Gravenor, Debbie Jackson and Paula Layton and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
