Judy Linda (Buckman) Dudley

Judy Linda Buckman Dudley, 68, died October 1, 2013.
A resident of Athens for most of her life, Mrs. Dudley was a daughter of Zelda Tucker Buckman of Lexington and the late John H. Buckman, Jr. After receiving her degree in Education from the University of Georgia, she worked for twenty-three years for Athens Transit, where she retired as Assistant Director. Mrs. Dudley also served as Director of Greenville, SC Transit.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Pastor Ronnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Walter H. Dudley; son, Scott Dudley and his daughter Elizabeth; daughter, Dawn Smith and her husband Ronnie and their children, Savannah, Alyson, Maggie, John, Lindy, Jack and Josiah; brother, John H. Buckman, III and his wife Sue Ellen; sister, Jane Ridgeway and her husband Ted.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hogan, Sim Hogan, John H. Buckman, IV, Herbert Buckman, William Buckman and John Smith.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
