Judy Wilson Cody

Judy Wilson Cody, age 70, of Watkinsville, Ga, passed away on Thursday, January 27th, 2022.

Judy was born on August 15, 1951, in NC.  She was the daughter of the late Edward Jewell Wilson and Marjorie Mull Wilson. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Oscar and Lassie Wilson; Granville and Lela Mull.

Judy’s career included several occupations, she was an event planner for many festivals and civic events, a manager for Jean Sewell, and many other gospel singers. Judy graduated from Athens High School, Class of 1970, in Athens, GA.

She retired as a real estate agent from First Class Realty and volunteered for countless charities. Her greatest love was supporting her grandson Cody and his music. She was the most compassionate and loving person that you could ever meet, and all of her family and friends will dearly miss her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Cody, daughter Trina Cody Stalvey (Trell), and grandson Cody Stalvey of Watkinsville, GA.  Sister Kathie Wilson Carlisle (Gary) and nephew Jeffrey Carlisle of Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Sister in laws, Margaret Biddix, Joyce Hale, Zoolie Davis, Marie Palmer, and many other nephews and nieces of NC.

The funeral service will be on February 5, 2022, Saturday at 2 pm at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel.  Visitation will be from 12-1:45, the service will begin at 2.
A graveside service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesville, NC, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 1 pm.
