Judith M. Jones

Judith A. Jones, 66, went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2013. She was born in Brooksville, FL to the late John A. and Bernestine Shearer Machmer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: John A. Machmer, II and James A. Machmer and grandniece: Christina Machmer. Judith graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College with an Associates in Accounting and the university of Georgia, Summa Cum Laude with a BBS in Accounting. She receive her CPA Certification in 1974. She practiced more than 43 years in the private and public sectors. She was a devout Christian and member of Burt's United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jeremiah (Jerry) Jones, daughter, Sheryl Jones Nugent of Blythewood, SC, son, Charles Corey Jones of El Paso, TX, granddaughters: Savannah Nugent and Autumn Nugent of Blythewood, SC, mother in law, Helen C. Jones, nephews, James A. Machmer, III, great grandnieces, Leanna Hoffman, Jeanna Hoffman and Kylee Hoffman, of Brooksville, FL and other nieces and cousins. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. If you wish to make a donation please give to the charity of your choice or Burt's United Methodist Church Youth Group.
