Judy Brubaker, formerly of Tylersburg, PA, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Bishop, Georgia.
Born on November 27, 1945, in Strobleton, Pennsylvania, Judy graduated from North Clarion High School in 1964. She enjoyed working for Hartzell’s Homes in Tionesta, PA, and was a dedicated presence at North Clarion’s home basketball games, where she ran the game clock for many years. In 2001, she relocated to Georgia and served as a CNA at Family Life Enrichment Center (now High Shoals Health and Rehabilitation). She made her home at High Shoals in June of 2024, and enjoyed reconnecting with many of her former co-workers.
Judy cherished the time spent with her family, especially her great-grandsons, and had a love of laughter, Braves baseball and UGA football, and classic television shows and movies. She was a devoted member of Bethabara Baptist Church in Statham, Georgia, where she found community and enjoyed developing her faith. Judy also enjoyed being involved in missions and had many “adopted” children throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Fitzgerald and daughter-in-law, Jill; grandson TJ Fitzgerald and his wife Jaycie; three great-grandsons, Walker J., Charlie and Sutton; granddaughter Jordan Fitzgerald and her fiancé Bailey Vickers; her daughter Kelly Fitzgerald and granddaughters Allison Eisele and Jenna Eisele; and two brothers, Rod Ochs of Franklin, PA and Gary Ochs of Kossuth, PA.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Mary Ochs; her husband, Jim Fitzgerald; and brothers, Gene, Richard (Butch), and Jody Ochs.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 1PM Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
