Watkinsville - Juan Whitehead, 77, husband of the late Betty Dillard Whitehead, died Monday, November 10, 2008.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Sim and Maude Thurmond Whitehead. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Danny Whitehead. He was self employed as a Logger.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Davison officiating. Burial will follow at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his son; Larry Whitehead of Watkinsville; daughter: Peggy W. Dire of Monroe; sisters: Lunell Bell of Athens, Lalage Hart of Anderson, SC; brother: Randall Whitehead of Bogart; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
