Joyce Alley

Joyce Alley, 87, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away on September 6, 2023. Born on January 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George and Lulu Reed Waller.

Joyce was a kind, giving, loving soul and was truly one of a kind. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going fishing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Alley, Sr.; twin sister, Loyce Tosky; brothers, Bernie Waller, George “Buck” Waller.

Survivors include her children, Melissa McCullough (Bradley), David Alley (Karen), Dan Alley, James Alley, Jr. (Linda); grandchildren, Niki, Matthew, Taylor, Daniel, Makenzi, Brittany, Sarah, Rachel, Wyatt and Alley; great grandchildren, Lyla, Della, Jude, Owen, Marco, Ava and Weston.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM At Lord & Stephens, Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hwy 53 Watkinsville, GA 30677. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Joyce loved flowers and the family is happily accepting them for the service. Memorial contributions can also be made in Joyce’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate, if preferred.
