Joyce Scoggins Adams

Joyce Scoggins Adams went to be with her God and Savior on June 5th, 2013.
Born in Elbert County on July 30th, 1933, he was the daughter of the late T. E. and Ollie Tucker Scoggins. Mrs. Adams was the loving wife of Andrew J. Adams for fifty-five years. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother to James Edward Scoggins (Wanda) of Gainesville, Reggie Adams of Danielsville, Renee McCannon (Allen) of Danielsville. Mrs. Adams was a superb grandmother of Christa Cook (Clay), Jeremy Scoggins (Lupita), Carrie Ann Byers (Joel) of Gainesville, Andrew McCannon and Gavin McCannon of Danielsville; and a gentle and kind great grandmother to Jordan Cook, Josiah and Noah Byers, and Sophia Scoggins of Gainesville. She was a sister to George, Arnold, Paul, James, Bobby and Darral Scoggins, Brenda Irving, Shirley Coile and Carol Epps. She was also an aunt to eighteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Adams was of the Baptist faith. God and family were her focus and source of pride. She was a creative seamstress, awesome cook and loving tending all her many beautiful flowers and friendships. She made home a loving, welcoming and comfortable place for all who entered the doors.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Revs. Jeremy Scoggins and Jeffery Scoggins. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
