Crawford, Georgia - Joseph Allen Huff, Jr., 61, died December 17, 2006.
A native of lifelong resident of Crawford, he was the son of the late Joseph Allen Huff, Sr. and Ruby Hood Huff. Mr. Huff was a longtime Crawford businessman and farmer. He served on the Crawford City Council for 17 years, the last 10 of which he has served as Mayor. Mr. Huff was a member of Crawford Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Crawford Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Mark LaRocca-Pitts and Rev. David Shivar will officiate. Interment will be in Crawford Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kline Wheelesss, Thomas Wheeless, Ricky Gabriel, Arnall Brooks, Bobby Waldrop and Mike Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Crawford City Council and Crawford Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his sisters, Betty Mangum and her husband Archie of Tequesta, FL and Jo Jordan and her husband David of Athens. He is also survived by his fiancé, Patricia Taylor of Crawford.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
