Joseph M. Haslett

Joseph M. Haslett, 53, died September 1, 2018.

A native of Toccoa, GA, he was the son of Reggie H. and Gail A. Haslett of Eatonton.

Mr. Haslett graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. He retired from the University of Georgia Dairy in 2016 as Manager of the UGA Dairy Farm. Joe enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially fishing with family and colleagues. He was affectionately known as "Uncle Joe" to many extended family members.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest, GA.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife of twenty-nine years, Twyla Rogers Haslett; children, Johanna G. (Stephen M.) Sullivan of Winder and Ethan Joseph Haslett of Mountain View, CA; grandchildren, Addison M. Sullivan, Amelia G. Sullivan and Cade M. Sullivan; one brother, Marty (Mandi) Haslett of Watkinsville; nieces and nephews, Holly Shelnutt, Hannah Haslett, Haden Haslett, Hunter Haslett, Hudson Haslett, Jessica Rumely and Sarah Rogers; and many other extended family members.

Honorary pallbearers include nephews and friends of the family.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
