Joseph Donald Comfort

Joseph Donald Comfort, 76, husband of Barbara Comfort, died Friday, March 1, 2013.
A native of Washington, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Laura Staniford Comfort. He retired from Jenmar Corporation and attended First Presbyterian Church of Athens. Mr. Comfort attended the University of Georgia and played three seasons of football 1955-1957 for the University.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Michael Comfort of Dallas, GA, Eric Comfort of Roswell, GA; brother: Anthony Comfort of Washington, PA; two granddaughters: Caitlin and Cameron Comfort.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2PM at First Presbyterian Church of Athens with Dr. W. Glenn Doak officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Athens or the American Cancer Society.
