Joseph Mark Campodonico Sr.

Joseph M Campodonico Sr., 57 years old of Watkinsville, GA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday December 6th 2018. Joe was born in Memphis TN on June 19th 1961. He was raised in Pompano Beach Florida where he met his wife and was married in 1984 they then moved to Athens, GA. He was a Graduate of The University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business, Class of 1987. Over the next 30 years he raised 2 children and led a successful 20+ year career with Trus Joist Engineered Wood Products as a Structural Designer, Seller, and Trainer.  The last 15 years of his career was working for Weyerhaeuser, the manufacturer of the Trus Joist Brand in an outside sales position.  Joe has personally trained well over 1,000 customers in the area of wood frame structural design.  In those 15 years there were many changes at Weyerhaeuser but one thing was consistent, Joe.  Joe was directly involved in all sales of Trus Joist products in Augusta, Atlanta, North Georgia, and Tennessee.  Joe was the recipient of the following awards:  Pros, Star, Circle of Excellence, and Employee of the year.  Joe had over $60 million in Trus Joist sales in his 15 years.  Joe has left behind many friends in both Weyerhaeuser and his customer base. Joe is survived by his wife Karen of 35 years, son Joseph and wife Samantha Campodonico, daughter Catherine and husband Nicholas Trippi, faithful dog Diesel, his mother Peggy Watson and husband Keith and twin brother Robert and wife Michelle and their sons Chris, Tim, and Jeff Campodonico.

Visitation will be held at Lord and Stephens West Sunday 12/9 from 6-8, funeral services will be held at the same location Monday 12/10 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Canine Companions for Independence. An organization that provides assistance dogs to adults, children, and veterans free of charge. cci.org/donate
