Jorge del Valle

Jorge Luis del Valle, 73, of Colbert, GA passed away on April 24, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Jorge is now resting in the arms of God. Jorge was born in Havana, Cuba, September 6, 1944, and came to the United States at the age of 16. He was loved, beloved and respected by all that knew him for his wit and spirit. He served in the United States Army for 3 years in the Vietnam War with an Honorable Discharge. He married the love of his life Naomi Ruth del Valle, to whom he was married for 35 years. He is survived by his loving wife Naomi Ruth del Valle, his children Alex P. del Valle (Caroline), Jorge del Valle (Monica), Christina del Valle Smith (Derrick), Elizabeth Beebe (Rocky), Annette Walters, sister-in-law Mary Esther Simmons, nephew Todd Hicks (Teresa), niece Esther Simmons, Aunt Lola Morse, Cousin Lilliam Morse, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Special thanks to our dear friend and caregiver Dede Rogers.
Visitation and Memorial Service will be April 27, 2018 Friday and Visitation from 11:00 am -12:00 pm, Memorial service begins at 12:00 pm at New Covenant Worship Center, 1425 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA 30607.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to New Covenant Worship Center, 1425 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA 30607.
