Jonell Scarborough Palmer, 74, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

Born in Hartwell, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Poss and Mendora Poss-Craft. Mrs. Palmer retired from Adams Poultry Farm and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Scarborough; great-granddaughter, Dinah Whited and siblings, Betty Todd, Junior Poss and Aaron Poss.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Palmer; children, Paige Barrett, Jeff Scarborough, Rodney Scarborough and Mariah Sims; siblings, Terry Poss, Jerry Poss, Dorothy Dove and Harold Poss; grandchildren, Chad Scarborough, Chasity Sosby, Jamie Cason, Martin Pass, Kimberly Pass, Josh Watson and Sabrina McConnell and eight great-grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Mordecai Whited, Mason Scarborough, McKinley Scarborough, Sierra Scarborough, Aerielle King, Adilyn King and Raelynn Pass.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 30, 2021 at 3:30 pm at Lord and Stephens, East with Pastor David Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Bible Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:30 at the funeral home.
