Carlton - Jonathan Grant Lee, 24, died Thursday, May 19, 2005.
Born in Waverly, TN, he was the son of Nathan and Susan Lee. Jonathan was a member of Lighthouse Church in Watkinsville and had also attended Burts Methodist Church. He was actively involved in historical preservation and restoration on numerous projects in and around the Athens area since leaving Oglethorpe County High School. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Morris Donald Lee.
Survivors include his son Steven Tyler Morris, parents Nathan and Susan Lee of Carlton, sisters, Mary Marucci of Carlton, Selena Barnes of Linden, TN, brothers, Joshua Lee and Christopher Marlin Lee, both of Carlton, Nathaniel Morris Lee of Oxford, MI, paternal grandmother, Mary Rue Lee of Linden, TN, maternal grandparents, Monnis and Jacquelin Reese of Owosso, MI, and nephews Jacob Lee and Matthew Marucci, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Burts Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Arnold officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Lord & Stephens, Crawford. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
