Johnny Edward Parr

Johnny Edward Parr, 72, of Hull, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Born in Jefferson, GA on May 14, 1952, Johnny was the son of J.D. Parr and Inez Bennett Parr. He worked for many years as a maintenance technician for various industries from electrical to concrete to construction. Johnny had a great personality and made friends easily. He was an incredibly smart, diligent, and hardworking man, and everything he did was for his family. Throughout his long final illness, spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren brightened his days. His last Thanksgiving, Johnny told his family that he may not be a rich man in the eyes of the world, but he was the richest man alive because of his family. He will be dearly missed.

Along with his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by two of his sons, Scot Parr and Stanley Parr; and four siblings: Leroy “Buck” Parr, Mary Martin, Paulette Llewallyn, and Timothy Parr.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judy Ramsey Parr; their son, Shain Parr (Christie); siblings: Bonnie Sue Whisenant, David Parr, Lewis Parr, Dorothy Casey, and Barbara Sims; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way; and daughters-in-law Mandy Parr and Patricia Knox.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23 at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until service time. Interment will follow the service at Colbert Cemetery.
