Johnie Eastus Wilmot

Johnie Erastus Wilmot, 88, husband of Marion Kinney Wilmot, died Friday, August 12, 2016. Born in Carnesville, GA, he was the son of the late Erastus Wilmot and Bessie Ayers Wilmot. Johnie was a graduate of the John Marshall Law School, the University of Georgia School of Law and served in the US Army during WWII. He was an appraiser and owner of The Wilmot Company as well as the owner operator the Jefferson Road Chevron Station for 16 years. He was an avid UGA fan and camera man for many games over the years. Johnie was a pilot and loved fly fishing. In addition to his wife Marion, he is survived by a stepson Sixleth Rainmaker. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2PM at Chapelwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Moeller officiating. The family will receive fiends one hour prior to the service. In memory of Johnie memorials may be made to Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
