Bishop - John Wayne Weaver, 67, husband of Linda Benson Weaver, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Cleveland, TN, he was the son of the late William Emory and Nellie Mae Darnell Weaver. He served his country in the US Army and was a feeder driver for UPS. After his retirement from UPS, John worked part time with Curbside Services. John had a true passion for old cars and trucks.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons: Jon Weaver and his wife Amy of Watkinsville, Jonn Ryan "Bo" Weaver of High Shoals; brother: Albert Eugene Weaver of Cleveland, TN; one granddaughter: Addison Grace Weaver; uncle: Clyde Darnell of Old Fort, TN as well as several cousins, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Roland Arrowood officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
