Greenville, S.C. - John Samuel Ward, 76, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008.
A native of Madison County, Ga., he was a son of the late Lovie Hill and William Breece Ward, and was preceded in death by a brother, James Ward.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 28, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Pastor Doug Duke will be officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include his daughter, Pam Audet of Valle Crucis, N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry Koenigshof of Watkinsville; two grandchildren, Chad and Jacqueline; nephew, Johnny Ward of Athens; many cousins including Martha and Rod Harnish of Greenville, S.C.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, Athens, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
