Watkinsville - John Sewell passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009.
Born in Middlesbrough, England, he was the son of the late David and Mary Brown Sewell. He worked for Benson's Bakery in Bogart and retired from Flowers Foods, Inc. out of Suwanee. He served in the British Royal Air Force.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2009, in the Oconee Chapel, Watkinsville, with interment in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Sewell; children, Jon Sewell, Joanne Swinnerton, Holly Schultz and Kate Sewell; sister, Valerie Hesseltine; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 30, 2009, from 7 p.m. ñ 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
