John David Polk, age 57, of Washington, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
A native of Clarke County, Mr. Polk was the son of the late Robert W. Polk Sr. and Margaret Maxwell Polk. He worked with the Wilkes County EMS Services and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his children, Heather (Ernest) McEathron and Steven Polk; brothers, Gerry, Robert, and Larry Polk; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at Lord & Stephens East.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, at the Lord & Stephens East Chapel. The Rev. Donny Berry will officiate.
