Watkinsville, GA - John William "Bill" McCoy, 76, beloved husband and father, passed away June 18, 2008.
A native of Knoxville, TN, he was a son of the late Gladys Dotson and Roy R. McCoy, Sr., and was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Annalee McCoy. Bill was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, Bogart, GA.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 3:30 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Rev. David Gilleland officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carolyn McCoy; two sons and daughters-in-laws, John and Tamara McCoy, of Suwanee, GA and Matthew and Lynn McCoy of Monroe, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Roy R. and Willie McCoy, Jr. of Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, E. H. and Joanne Williams of Sautee, GA; six grandchildren, Jason, Abbey, Aaron, Megan, Taylor, and Joshua; faithful friends, Lisa Armstrong, Cecil Smith; and many other friends and family, too numerous to mention.
A special thank you to the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care and attention for Bill McCoy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
