Colbert - John Thomas Jefferson Jr. 75, passed away April 2, 2008.
Born February 28, 1933 in Richmond, Virginia, he was a son of the late Dolores Whitehead and John Thomas Jefferson, Sr. and was preceded in death by his brother, Rueben Jefferson. Mr. Jefferson retired from Phillip Morris and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. He lived in Hull for eleven years and was a member of Hull Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with visitation following the service. Funeral services will also be Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Nelsen Funeral Home, Richmond, Virginia with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Glenn Brown Sunday School Class of Hull Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Wine Jefferson; daughter, Janet and Mark Campbell; three sisters, Ruth Reinhardt, Ruby Emery, Irene Emery; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Hope, Jonathan and Emily Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hull Baptist Church.
