John Anderson "Andy" Heinz, 60, of the Watson Mill area of Oglethorpe County, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012.
Mr. Heinz was originally from Avondale Estates, but had lived in Oglethorpe County for the past 40 years. He was a well-known businessman in Lexington for many years, where he operated Lost & Found Antiques.
Mr. Heinz was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. and Lavelle Heinz. He is survived by his wife, Delores Heinz; sons, Paul (Melissa) Heinz, of Canton, and Shane Russell, of the Watson Mill area; daughter, Krista Etheredge, of Winterville; grandchildren, Justice Russell, Evan Etheredge, and Carrie Etheredge; sisters, Donna (Mike) Heinz Myrick, of Decatur, and Judy Luxford, of Durham N.C.; and beloved nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Sunday Aug. 26 at 2:00 at the American Legion in Oglethorpe County, Lexington, Ga., on hwy 22 off hwy 78.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
