John William Dry, 69, passed away June 22, 2022.
A native of Fulton County, GA, John was a son of the late Lee Owen Dry and Mary Blanche Martin Dry and was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Dry.
John owned and operated The Patriot Food Store in Arnoldsville from 1979 until 1989. He then was employed for twenty-six years with Cook Motor Company in Crawford before becoming a flight attendant with Express Jet until 2018. He spent the last few years working as a District Fleet Manager for GA EPD.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, with interment to follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Cecelia; son, Mark (Allison) Dry of Ila; two grandchildren, Taylor Dry and Carlee Dry; siblings, Connie (Travis) Adams of Ila, Owen (Gail) Dry of Houston, TX and Sandra Ritzman of Dallas, TX; niece, Christy Dry (Jeremy) Wiley of Marietta; nephews, Richard (Tonia) Dry of Roswell and Joe (Susan) O’Shields of Atlanta; a number of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
