Bishop - John Brittain (Britt) Chandler, Jr., age 68, of Bishop, died Thursday, November 2, 2006 at St. Maryís Hospital.
Mr. Chandler was born on June 29, 1938 in Athens, Ga., to the late John Brittain and Dorothy Nell Looney Chandler, Sr. Mr. Chandler and his wife are the owners of Pine Lake Campground in Bishop.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Linda Whitehead Chandler, four children, Joy (Dave) Wireman of Farmington, Melanie (Joe) Arlt of Watkinsville, Hallie Chandler of Bishop, and John Brittain (Heatherly) Chandler III of Comer. A first cousin, who was like a brother, William ìBillyî Chandler of Hull. Eight grandchildren, Morgan, Amanda, and Bradley Wireman, Lorrie Stanford, Joey Arlt III, Amber Hale, Clyde Hale, and Ancil Chandler.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 2 till 5 p.m. at Pine Lake Campground, 5540 High Shoals Rd., Bishop, Ga., with the Rev. Woodrow Salley officiating.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors has charge of the arrangements.
