John Clark Bryant, 83, of Colbert, died Tuesday, January 19, 201
Born in Gordon County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Annis Clark Bryant. Mr. Bryant retired from the University of Georgia Steam Plant, and worked for Russell Research. He was a member of Amvets Post 10. He enjoyed fishing, working on his farm, and most of all, spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Shipman Bryant; one daughter, Joan Gail Bryant; and one son, Clark Quillan Bryant.
Survivors include his children, Barbara Bryant McCurley (Thomas), Kenneth Bryant (Jonell), Diane Bryant Price, and Annette Bryant Shuler (Greg); three sisters, Cleo Green, Moline Worley and Betty Jean Owens; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Tom Dial officiating. Mr. Bryant's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:30.
