John Alan Boyd, Sr., 65, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 21, 2009.
A native of Fulton County, Georgia, he was a son of the late Margaret Jones and Earl Bolton Boyd.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Boyd; children, Alan and Lynn Boyd, Mandy Porterfield, Jeff and Carla Daniell; stepchildren, Lori Bigham, David Bigham; grandchildren, Morgan Porterfield, Bolton Porterfield, Hunter Daniell, Grace Daniell; great granddaughter, Nevaeh Cook; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ed Carder; nieces, Candy (Jim) Hardy and Kim Swords.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
