John Jere Blanchard Jr. age, 67 of Washington passed away Monday, April 18, 2011.
Mr. Blanchard was born on May 21, 2011 in Athens GA. to John Jere and Minnie Adkins Blanchard. Mr. Blanchard was a UGA graduate, a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the National Model Railroad Association, a member of Athens First Baptist Church, as well as owner/operator of Blanchard Personal Services. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Blanchard. Mr. Blanchard is survived by his sister Minan Blanchard Maxwell, Washington, GA.; Mother-In-Law Lillian Lowe Shook, Step-Mother Peggy Howard Blanchard, 8 Nephews & Nieces, 12 Great Nephews & Nieces, and a host of other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6-9 with graveside service to be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Crawford City Cemetery with Rev. John Appleton and Rev. Paul Baxley officiating. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Athens First Baptist Church, or to National Model Railroad Assoc. Southeast Regional Division C/O P.O. Box 804 Rex GA. 30273. Lord & Stephens Funeral Home Crawford in charge of all arrangements.
