Joe Ramirez was born in 1940, emigrating with his family from Puerto Rico to America as legal citizens in 1943. He grew up in Brooklyn NY, taking his trade in printing to support his first wife, Trinidad & 3 children in NY then NJ. After divorce in the 1990s he moved to Georgia to take work & be closer to the country he loved. He met & married Linda Weatherly in a square dance themed wedding, square dancing being a lifelong avocation. In retirement, he took on other pursuits like travel, perfume bottle collecting & film extra work most notably in the first season of the show "The Walking Dead." After Linda's passing in 2013 & his own battle with illness he reengaged life by returning to square dancing & meeting Vanessa McIver who helped him enjoy the last of his life, seeing him through his illness until his passing on March 27th 2017. He is survived by his sister Miriam Nogueras of NY, sons Richard, Ronald & Randall, 4 grandchildren & all of the lives he touched.
