Joe Oliver Echols, Jr., 57, died Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Born in Winston Salem, NC, he was the son of Annie Jo Echols of Tucker and the late Joe Oliver Echols. He was the owner of Terra Communication and retired after 21 years. He was a member of Athens First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Echols; son: Joshua Echols of Watkinsville, Hannah Echols of Watkinsville; sisters: Wendy Mason of Carrolton, Sharon Hull of Maryland and his father and mother in law: Richard and Joyce Norrell of Blueridge, GA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 1PM at Athens First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5:30 until 7:30 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Athens First United Methodist Church Missions, 327 N. Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA 30601.
