Athens - Jody Weeks, 40, husband of Tara Weeks, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Lakeland, Fla., he was the son of James and Kay Hall Weeks. He was a loving husband, father and son and was there for anyone that needed him.
In addition to his wife, Tara, survivors include his children, Kyle, Brittney, Chelsey, Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Dezarae Weeks of Nicholson; sister, Lisa Bennett of Athens; paternal grandmother, Louise Martin of Ala.; mother-in-law, Carlene Jachimowicz; brother in law, Chris Fattig of Athens; sister-in-law, Tonya Fattig of Athens, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 6 p.m. at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Calvin Ward officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
