Jody Wheless (Poole) Poole

Jody Wheless Poole, formerly of Sandy Cross, passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2017. She was 48. Jody was born December 26, 1968. She was the daughter of the late Bernice Frank Poole and Josephine Wheless Poole of Sandy Cross. She was a graduate of Oglethorpe County High School and spent most of her life in Oglethorpe County. Jody was a former member of Lexington Baptist Church and New Life Church in Crawford where she sang in the choir and worked with the Awana Program. She was also a lover of horses and had a deep passion for animals. Jody is survived by a brother, Timothy Frank Poole (Liz Stromski) of Sandy Cross and two nieces Braylee Nichole Poole and Tatiana Bighta also of Sandy Cross. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at 11AM at New Life Church in Crawford with Rev. Derek Paul and Rev. Jim Olds officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Sandy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East.
