Comer - Jodi Elisabeth Torres, 16, died September 22, 2005.
Born in Belleville, MI, she was the daughter of Timothy Gerald Torres and Lisa Benton Bolin. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Bowman. Jodi was a Junior at Madison County High School where she was a Varsity Cheerleader. She was a member of the 4-H Club and past member of the Franklin County Drill Team. She had an avid love for riding horses and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her father Tim; mother Lisa; stepfather, Steve Bolin; sisters Jennifer Goss, Katie Bolin; maternal grandparents Joyce Smith, Granny Annie, Sonny Fortson; paternal grandparents Ruben and Geraldine Torres; aunts Kim Benton, Ginger Pitts, Karin Taylor; uncles Ruben Torres, Matthew Torres, Andrew Torres, Chris Pitts; a number of cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26, 2005 at 2PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Bowman with Revs. Chris Pritchett, Shane Curtis and Ms. Alison Cash officiating. Burial will be held at the Thomas Family Cemetery on Smithonia Road, Oglethorpe County. Visitation will be held tonight from 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jamey Rice, Jeremy Tolbert, Jordan Marable, Garrett Cook, Johnny White and Chris Pitts.
