Joanne Sandra Epps,84, died February 19, 2015.
A native of Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Anna Davis and Albert Prince, and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Epps.
Mrs. Epps lived in this area since 1969 and was a member of Lexington Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Missionary Society and the Caleb Club. She was a Bessie Tift College Alumni (Mercer) and retired from the Oglethorpe County School System. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Georgia.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Lexington Baptist Church. Interment will be in Crawford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include four children, Ann (Tom) Tweedell of Arnoldsville, Tom Epps, Jr., Jim (Patti) Epps, all of Gainesville, Joe Epps of Crawford; sister, Saleta May Prince Welch of Forney, TX; six grandchildren, Amy Jo (Ben) Tweedell, Cobern Tweedell, Tommy Epps, III, Bobby Epps, David Epps and John Epps.
