JoAnn Gilbert Pulliam, 65, passed away May 6, 2017.
A native of Wilton, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Glenys Weeks and Frank B. Gilbert, Jr. Mrs. Pulliam was employed with the University of Georgia for thirty-four years. She was an Administrative Secretary in The Classics Department, where she loved, as part of her work, often organizing their events and receptions. She was known to be a great cook and was an especially talented pianist and vocalist - musical talents shared by her husband and children who frequently performed together as a family in churches and other venues.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Rev. George Lovely and Rev. Harol Wright officiating. The family will receive from 9:00 until 9:45AM at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of forty-three years, Stan; four children, Gayla J. (Jared L.) Anders of San Antonio, TX, Christa N. (David M.) Auge of Wilson, NC, Aaron M. (Katharine G.) Pulliam of Athens, and Angela C. Pulliam of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Bruce W. Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rowanna and Rev. Harol Wright of Royce City, TX; two grandchildren, Lilith Grace Auge and Stephen Alexander Pulliam.
