Joan McNeil Staiger

Joan Staiger, 91, of Watkinsville, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022.

Joan was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in that area before moving to Georgia in 1962. She married Richard "Dick" Staiger on May 3, 1947.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie, of Bishop; son, Mike (Nereida), of Flowery Branch; granddaughter, Vikki, of Bishop; grandson, Erik (Aimee) of Gillsville; and four great-grandchildren.

Joan's remains will be interred beside her husband at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Friday, May 20, at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Hospice House through the St. Mary's Foundation , 1230 Baxter Street, Athens, GA 30606.
