Danielsville - Joan H. Cook, 84, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at her residence.
Services will be Private.
Born in Bradenton, FL, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Harris and Lottie Fant Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Milton Cook, son, Robert "Bob" Carter and brothers, James and Bill Harris. Moving to Athens in 1964 she became the District Manager for Avon and may be better known for working at the information desk at the Georgia Square Mall when it first opened.
Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, David Kelley and daughter in law, Debbie Kelley of Houston, TX, Bill (L.G.) Kelley of Comer, daughter and son in law, Beth Kelley Zorbanos and Peter Zorbanos of Danielsville, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Donations may be made in Joan's name to the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter OR the Madison Co. Food Bank.
