Joan Kathryn Albertson

Joan Kathryn Albertson, 66, passed away December 25, 2013. Joan was a graduate of Athens High School and had recently retired from the Engineering Department of Athens-Clarke County. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her son, Carl Martin, and a sister, Delores Hunter.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. & Mrs. James E. Albertson; daughter, Robin and Mark Hallenbeck; grandchildren, Taylor Hallenbeck, Grace Hallenbeck, Ashley Martin, and Caitlin Martin; brother, Jimmy and Sonja Albertson; nephews, Mark and Lara Albertson, Brian and Kristin Albertson and their families, and Ben Hunter.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East with the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
