Jo-Anne Dalton Lawhorn

Jo-Anne Dalton Lawhorn, age 80, of Bogart, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 4.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina on May 19, 1938, Mrs. Lawhorn was the daughter of the late Joseph Orrin Dalton and Catherine Gagen Dalton of Charleston, South Carolina. She was the widow of Donald Wade Lawhorn and a homemaker. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Lawhorn was preceded in death by her son, Wade Lawhorn.

Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth McCauley of Christiansburg, Virginia;   daughter, Donna Lawhorn (Deena Dixon) of Winston Salem, North Carolina;  son,  Kevin Lawhorn (Melanie) of Commerce, Georgia;  grandchildren, Taylor Lawhorn, Joseph Lawhorn, and Emily Lawhorn; special friends, Nell Summers, Jane Webb, Barbara Carter, Jean Childress, and Pam Ingraham.

Because Mrs. Lawhorn enjoyed the Christmas season and the joy it brings to the world, the family will celebrate her life with a memorial service in late January. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local food bank or a favorite charity in her honor.
