Jimmie William Ellis

Jimmie William Ellis, 77, husband of Eva Justice Ellis, died Saturday, October 25, 2014.
A native of Tifton, GA, he was the son of the late K.A. Ellis and Jessie Ola Wynn Ellis. Jimmie retired from Southern Piedmont Experiment Station after 39 ½ years of service. He was a member of Bishop Baptist Church and had coached Little League in Tifton as well as Oconee County for a total of 40 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Ellis, grandson, Jordan Ellis and an infant son.
Survivors in addition to his wife include, daughter, Kay (Robert) Bernales of Bogart, son, Pannell (Christie) Ellis of Statham, brothers, Kano Ellis of Peoria, AZ, Leonard Ellis of Tifton, sisters, Luiretta McFarland of Jessup, Reba Stillwell of Moultrie, GA; grandchildren: Krystle (Derek) Shuman, Channing Bernales, Spencer Ellis, Allison Ellis, Cruzz Bernales, Bailey Ellis and two great grandchildren, Jackson Ellis and Rylee Shuman.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friend from 5 to 7 Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
