Jim Bowen "Jimbo" Crumbley, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died August 20, 2015 in Winterville, Georgia. Born on July 8, 1930, Jim was a dear son of Thelma and Howard Crumbley, natives of Stockbridge, Georgia. He was an artillery Marine, before his extensive career as a dedicated engineer of 40 years at General Electric. He is survived by his adoring wife of 62 years, Callie Ann Crumbley of Hampton; siblings Morris (Velma) Crumbley of Auburn and Rachel Pounds of Butler; 4 children: daughter Diane (David) Wallace of Winterville; sons David (Laura) Crumbley of McDonough, Jeff (Teri) Crumbley of Hampton, Jim (Diane) Crumbley Jr. of Stockbridge; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, East from 2:30pm until 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2015. Immediately following at 4 pm, a celebration of life service will be held for our avid storyteller and tenacious "race car" driver with Reverend Doug Burrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the COPD Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, or Humane Society.
