Jewell Davis Spence

Mr. Jewell Spence, 87, died April 20, 2013.
A native of Shelbyville, TN, he was a son of the late Ira Patterson Spence and Mary Lou Davis Spence and was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Spence. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Coble Dairy.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Lavonia City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife Jo Ann King; children, Edward Lewis Durham of Commerce, Randall "Randy" Davis Spence of Nicholson, Christy Cheek of Athens, Kim Carithers of Colbert, Wilma Beam of Shelbyville, TN, Sara Conger of Iowa and Melanie Johnson of St. Louis, Mo; stepchildren, Tony Fleming of Morgan, GA, Dean King of Winterville, Greg King of Watkinsville, Tim King of Watkinsville, Jeff King, Keith King, Cynthia Waldroup and Adam King, all of Winterville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
